South Kordofan State and the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies Organize a Forum for Native Administration Leaders…

The specialized training workshop for figures and leaders of the Native Administration in South Kordofan State kicked off today at the Cultural Center in Omdurman Locality. The workshop is organized by the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies in partnership and cooperation with South Kordofan State.

The opening session witnessed a high-profile, distinguished attendance led by the delegation of the Native Administration in Khartoum State, headed by Dr. Fadl El-Sayed Eissa Shoaib, and Sheikh Isaac Hammad El-Niel, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Social Peace, alongside broad participation from prominent figures and native leaders of South Kordofan State.

In his opening address, Dr. Mahmoud Zain El-Abedin, Director of the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies, emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in building the capacity of community leaders. He noted that the workshop aims to equip Native Administration leaders with scientific knowledge and practical expertise, enhance their conflict-resolution skills, and support the frameworks of good governance and social peace in the region.

For his part, the representative of the Governor of South Kordofan State—Minister of Agriculture and Animal Production, Mr. Sayed Hammad—conveyed the Governor’s greetings and gratitude to all those in charge of the workshop. He stressed in his speech that the Governor’s arrival at the state capital, Kadugli, today marks the beginning of a new phase focused on security and development, highlighting that the Native Administration remains the key partner for the executive government in mending the social fabric and supporting stability and production across the state.

Throughout its sessions, the workshop seeks to produce a document for peaceful coexistence among the social components of South Kordofan State, as well as practical recommendations to enhance the leadership role of the Native Administration and support dialogue and peaceful coexistence mechanisms, aligning with the aspirations of the people of South Kordofan for development, security, and stability.
